Rodolfo D. Sandino is a Central American documentary film director based in Europe. He holds a master’s degree in Documentary Film Directing from the DocNomads programme in Lisbon, Budapest and Brussels. His films explore the intersections of historical memory and the diaspora experience through a personal, essayistic lens. Drawing on archival and contemporary footage, he weaves together past and present to construct reflective portraits of displacement, belonging, and the shifting identities that emerge from migration. He is currently developing his next documentary projects and collaborating as a film pre-selector and programmer at festivals in Europe and the US.
